First of all, we would like to thank you for your patience and support during these challenging times.
The Hungarian government has just extended the ban on large-scale events until 15 August 2020, and due to this official prohibition, we are beyond sad to let you know that Telekom VOLT Festival cannot take place this year. However, as hard as it is, we believe that this decision serves the safety of all of you, and everyone working at our festival.
For the past 30 years, we have experienced a lot and made some of the most unforgettable memories. We have always overcome any difficulties crossing our path because we had you, the best festival community ever! There is no place like VOLT – and although we will not be seeing you for the best week of the summer this year, we promise to make up for the missed experiences together in 2021!
If you are holding a ticket for Telekom VOLT Festival 2020, we are pleased to tell you that your tickets, accommodation and other festival extras are automatically valid for next year’s edition and it would mean so much to us to see you all there. We hope that this is the only summer in the history of Telekom VOLT Festival that has to be like this; without the festival and without you, who make this whole thing worthwhile. Let’s overcome these challenging times together, so we can party in Sopron again!

Basic info on the festival not taking place this year, with the options for ticket buyers:
The Hungarian government has banned large-scale events until 15 August 2020, and due to this official prohibition, Telekom VOLT Festival cannot take place this year.
Telekom VOLT Festival 2020 tickets and festival extras (accommodation, services, etc.) are automatically valid for next year’s edition and it would mean so much to us to see you all there. You don’t need to do anything else, you will receive your new confirmation in due later in the coming months. By holding on to your ticket, you have a guaranteed place at Telekom VOLT Festival 2021 without any additional costs and can start counting down the days until your VOLT experience in 2021!
If you’d like even more flexibility, we’re pleased to also offer you the option of refund. Get the value of your tickets and festival extras (accommodation, services, etc.) refunded on your festival account starting from early June, 2020. This balance is super flexible and can be used for purchasing for any tickets or other festival extras (accommodations or even food and drinks) for Telekom VOLT Festival 2021 and also the two other music festivals organised by us: Sziget Festival, Balaton Sound. This way you can relax and wait for all the information about next year’s events including date and artists announced and make your decision then.
If the above mentioned option does not work for you / If you decide not to use your balance for purchase, you can, of course, request the balance to be refunded in cash as well.
