Telekom VOLT Festival 2023

When will the next Telekom VOLT Festival be happening?

First of all, on behalf of the whole VOLT Festival team, we would like to thank you for all of your support and the many messages regarding the next Festival. The Telekom VOLT Festival is a real "love brand", a major event in the domestic festival market, and it is also a matter of our hearts. We have shaped and developed it with love, until the 800-person "sports hall house party" became Hungary's most beloved outdoor festival in the countryside. However, this year's festival in Sopron could only be created with considerable cost cuts and unfortunately, in the uncertain economic situation, we are currently unable to organise VOLT to the same standard as the you have become accustomed to.

Therefore - to our great sadness - VOLT will be cancelled in 2023.

We have experienced many wonderful and unforgettable moments over the past thirty years, and we have always counted on you as the best audience and we hope that with the improvement of the economic climate we will be able to fill the venue of wonders in Sopron, the Lővérek, again!

COVID regulations

The safety of our festival-goers and artists is a top priority for us. Under current regulations, the obligation to wear a mask and restrictions on vaccinations at music and dance events have been lifted in Hungary. We closely monitor the COVID situation and will follow the official regulations of the Hungarian government.

So there is no need to wear a mask or show COVID green pass at the Festival. We suggest to bring hand sanitizer and wash your hands often :)

Useful info

Please leave at home

Alcoholic beverages and all food items at home, as they are not allowed within the festival territory. Such products must be handed over to the security service for inspection at the entrance.

It is forbidden to bring glass objects, hitting and cutting tools or any other object that threatens the physical well-being of others within the venue!

Detailed description: it is forbidden to bring to the festival: narcotics, pyrotechnic devices, glass objects, umbrellas, objects or tools containing explosive, poisonous or flammable materials, firearms, knives, butterfly knives, switchblades, gas sprays, expandable batons, metal chains over 50 cm in length, throwing stars, slingshots and other items posing a special threat to public safety as defined in relevant laws and regulations (currently: Government Decree No. 175/2003 of 28 October 2003). While camping is permitted at the Event – according to specific conditions – certain general camping accessories may not be brought inside the venue because of the special nature of the Event. Visitors may not bring drones to the Event without advance written authorisation from Sziget. Visitors in possession of any prohibited item may not enter the Event venue.

Opening of the camping venue: June 21, 2022, 10.00 AM

Closing of the event venue: June 26, 2022, 12.00 AM

The VIP parts of the Event are not continuously open, their opening and closing times may be vary.

Guarded lockers

At the Festival we operate a luggage storage facility and is therefore solely responsible for the items placed in here, up to a maximum of HUF 15,000 per package. Guarded lockers can be found next to the entramce. Please check the festival map.

What about food, alcohol and tobacco?

Visitors are prohibited from bringing alcoholic beverages into the Event. Should the National Public Health and Medical Officer Service declare a heat emergency, Visitors may bring water or mineral water in a reasonable quantity necessary to satisfy their own personal needs to the Event. In all other cases, Visitors are permitted to bring to the Event one PET bottle containing a maximum of 2.5 litres of bottled water or another non-alcoholic beverage. Visitors may only bring empty plastic jugs to the Event. Visitors are prohibited from bringing retail quantities of food or tobacco products to the Event. With regard to food products, “retail quantity” is an amount exceeding the quantity Visitors would reasonably require to satisfy their own personal needs. With regard to tobacco products, “retail quantity” exceeds 2 cartons (20 boxes) of cigarettes, 10 boxes of cigarillos and 10 cigars (regardless of size).

Photo and video rules at the festival

You are welcome to take pictures of Telekom VOLT Festival for your own entertainment, however, to take photos or videos of the acts and programs you will need written approval from the organizers. If you are filming or taking photos on behalf of a certain medium and you wish to publish them, please consult with our colleagues at the Press Office or contact them via press@volt.hu! Good to know: in order to make VOLT Festival unforgettable we are constantly making sound and video recordings. You can be a lucky one and appear on some of these indestructible documentations, but we will only use your name if you sign an agreement on. However, please note that you may not have any claims for appearing on these materials (more information in the Policy).

Reusable cups

In order to minimise waste, a system of reusable cup is implemented at the Festival. The goal of the reusable cup system is to achieve that optimally the Visitor uses only one cup during the Event. Within the frames of this, you purchase a reusable cup which may be used for multiple consumption. The reusable cup may also be kept after the Festival. If you don't want to use the cup temporarily, the reusable cup may be replaced by a token. The token may be exchanged to a reusable cup again. The reusable cup and the token cannot be exchanged to money.

Pets at the festival

In addition to service dogs as defined by law, guide dogs and police dogs, only pets generally considered to be tame and posing no hazard to the life, safety and health of Visitors and others may be brought to VOLT festival. It’s free of charge, when on a leash and accompanied by their owner. However,we suggest to leave them at home. If you still want to bring it, please prepare to the following conditions:

  • the pet possesses a valid certificate of vaccination attesting to rabies vaccinations in the last year,
  • the pet is identifiable through a unique identifier (visible tattoo or microchip),
  • the pet is to wear a leash, collar, muzzle and a tag with the owner’s telephone number, with the owner reachable on that number during the Event.

General tickets

Where can I buy tickets?

You can buy your tickets right away in our webshop.

Please make sure you buy tickets from our webshop or from our official ticketing partner, otherwise we cannot guarantee the validity of your ticket.

What kind of cards do you accept?

We accept the following cards: MasterCard, Maestro, Visa, Visa Electron.

Can I get a refund, change or resell my tickets?

Generally speaking, we have a no-refund/ticket change policy. However, in certain cases (e.g. cancellation due to a Force Majeure event or if you do not meet some entry criteria prescribed by the local authorities after you purchased your ticket) a full refund (excl. 3% processing fee) applies. You can also upgrade your ticket to a VIP one at any time.

Not able to join the event? Sell your ticket(s) 100% safe via our official partner Ticketswap. as our ticket vouchers are not personalized so you can feel free to give the spare ticket to one of your friends or sell them.

What is a boarding pass?

Getting your boarding pass will be the easiest and fastest way to enter the festival. You don’t need to prepare all your vouchers and barcodes for all pre-bought services, you will just have one code. You can get your boarding pass in your Festival Account.

What is the Festival Account? Why should I get one?

It's the easiest and safest way to manage your tickets and to make sure that you don't lose them before the festival starts :) Moreover with the help of your festival account you can run through your festival check-list before arrivingand make connection with your VOLT mobile app and the VOLT website much easier!

My payment was declined. What can be wrong?

In case the online purchase was declined first make sure:

● your card is supported for online transactions,

● online purchase is not prohibited by the card provider,

● you have the sufficient amount for the transaction and there is no purchase limit,

● your credit card has not expired.

You can also try the following steps:

  1. Please retry the payment process and double-check the data you have entered! Typos can happen.
  2. In case of a transaction failure, we recommend to try using an alternative credit card.
  3. Alternatively you can try purchasing the ticket from our Ticketing partner
  4. Should the transaction continue to fail you might want to get in touch with your credit card company. They will need the following data (you can find them in the error message):

● transaction ID number

● 3-digit error code.

What do I have to know about the wristband?

You will get a wristband at the entrance of the festival. You need to have a valid ticket and have to go through the check-in process toget your wristband. Wristbands are only valid if you wear them on your wrist and in case they are damaged, glued, cut, etc. they will be considered invalid. Wristbands cannot be replaced or transferred to another person.

How can I add my ticket(s) to my Festival Account?

If you used the same e-mail to set up your Festival Account and purchase your 2022 ticket through our webshop, your ticket will automatically be displayed and you will be able to select and link them to your account.

If the addresses are different, just sign in to your Festival Account and add your ticket manually (using the serial number displayed below the QR code on the ticket) to claim it.

What do I have to know about my ticket?

Tickets (online vouchers) are not personalized and not tied to a specific person. After the check-in process the person who has checked-in with the ticket (online voucher) can exchange the ticket to a wristband at the entrance. For the check-in process and first entry you will need a valid ID or passport.

Keep your code safe and don't let anyone make copies, photos or recordings of your ticket as all rights related to the ticket are solely represented by the code on the ticket - not sure about what your ticket includes? So if your code circulates on social media, the first person checking-in with it will be able to enter the festival.

Do I need a festival account?

To buy a ticket you don’t need to have a festival account, but we highly recommend it as it has many features that can be useful through your VOLT experience.

I am a VOLTer with disability. Is there any specific ticket I should buy?

Nope, you should choose from the regular ticket types.

What is the check-in process?

The check-in will ensure the personalization of the wristbands. Your vouchers (with a barcode/QR code) that you’ve received when purchasing your tickets for VOLT are not personalized (they do not indicate a name).

What do I need to create an account?

Just use your Facebook or Google mail account or just your email. You will also need a password! Click here to create a festival account!

Do children need tickets?

The smallest VOLTers are welcome to Telekom VOLT Festival as well!

Children under the age of 11 may visit the festival free of charge, although they are required to wear a child wristband. The adult accompanying the child is obliged to indicate the child’s name and the his/her own phone number on the wristband. Child wristbands are available during the entry process. Children under the age of 14 may only enter the Event if accompanied by an adult in full possession of their faculties, and may remain at VOLT only if accompanied by an adult in full possession of their faculties.

How many tickets / passes can I buy at a time?

I haven’t received an email with my ticket. What’s wrong?

It can take a maximum of 24 hours for the link to arrive, in case it did not happen, please try the following steps:

  1. Check your SPAM/promotions folder in your mailbox. Your activation link arrives from the following email address: ticket@volt.hu
  2. Log in to your Festival Account, where you can access your tickets easily.
  3. You might have mistyped your email address. If you think this is the case, please write an email to the following address: ticket@volt.hu

Payment at the festival

Paying at the Festival

At the Festival you can only pay for drinks, food and any other product by our cash-free system.

You can pay with your topped-up wristband or/and your contactless bank card or/and your smartphone.

Pay With your wristband

You can top-up your wristband at the festival venue with cash, a bank card, or with the mobile app, or on the website (in your Festival Account). To pay, simply touch the card reading terminal with your wristband.

Pay with your contactless bank card or smartphone

Bring your contactless Mastercard® with you and be one touch away from paying for everything at the festival! In addition, you can pay with your smartphone or a contactless bank card.

How to top-up a wristband before the festival starts?

Why? To avoid long lines, use this easy and secure option! For this you need:

  • a valid bank card that can be used for online transactions (VISA and Mastercard only)
  • A festival ticket

How?

  1. download the free festival app
  2. follow the instructions in the Festical Account menu
  3. You will receive your wristband at the entrance with the already topped up amount./Your wristband will be credited at your first cashless transaction

Please note:there is a 500 HUF transaction fee after each top-up.

At a Festipay top-up point or top-up Machine

You can top-up your wristband at top-up points throughout the festival. The minimum balance is 000 HUF and the maximum amount that can be added is 360,000 HUF per occasion. Your balance can be topped-up at any time during the event.

You can top-up your wristband with cash or a bank card (there is a 500 HUF top-up fee in each instance).

What is my PIN?

Your PIN code is the code you have to use to verify your wristband. You will get this code at the entrance on a receipt. Or you can use the last 4 characters of your ticket ID as your PIN. If you don't have any of these, just visit any ticket or Festipay helpdesk so we can help you!

How to check your balance

You can check balance and wristband history with your Festival Account in the festival app or on the website. You can also check your balance at a Festipay terminal or at a vendor or top-up point by asking the staff.

What if my wristband gets lost or broken?

If there’s any problem with your wristband, we can help you at Festipay helpdesk all day long.

Ticket refund

How do I transfer my ticket to someone else?

You can easily transfer your tickets to another Festival Account holder in your Festival Account: just go to the “My tickets and wristbands” menu and click “Select tickets to send to a friend”. Select the transferable ticket(s) and add the name and email address of your friend. The recipient will get an automatic email with some instructions. Until the tickets are not accepted by your friend as per the instructions, you can still change your mind and cancel the transfer. This is the safest way to manage your tickets: for example, if you bought several tickets, this function is the best way to distribute them among your friends.

If I decide to convert the value of my tickets (and/or festival extras) into a Balance credit in my Festival Account, how can it be used?

You can use this Balance for purchasing anything in our webshop from Sziget, Balaton Sound and Telekom VOLT Festival tickets to festival extras (e.g. festival accommodation, lockers, camping accessories etc.) until the 31st of December, 2022. Please note, you have until 9 May 2021 to convert your tickets into a Balance.

What is the deadline for claiming a Cash Refund?

For Teleko VOLT Festival , you will be able to request a refund until 9 May 2021.

I requested a Cash Refund, but now my tickets have disappeared from my Festival Account. What does this mean?

This means that your refund is on its way! You should receive your refund within 90 days from submitting your request.

What should I do if I requested a Cash Refund more than 90 days ago but haven't received my payment?

If you don’t see the funds in your bank account after 90 days, please contact your bank.

Information for Sziget 2020 ticket holders

How do I transfer my 2020 tickets to 2022?

If you already have a ticket for 2020, you don’t have to do anything to be a part of Telekom VOLT Festival in 2022. We will automatically accept all 2020 tickets and festival extras (e.g. festival accommodation, lockers, camping accessories etc.) for 2022.

If you have a Ticket, we recommend that you access your Festival Account and select your preferred days of entr. This can be done once and is subject to the availability of the requested date. Additional date modifications will be subject to a fee.

What is Gift Credit, and who is entitled to it?

Gift Credit is a balance of credit on top of your 2020 tickets that you can use in our Balaton Sound, Sziget Festival and VOLT Telekom Festival webshops on our websites to buy any tickets and services, or even food and drink at Balaton Sound Festival 2022, Sziget Festival 2021 & 2022 or Telekom VOLT Festival 2022. All ticket holders have been emailed with details about their Gift Credit.

How do I claim my Gift Credit for 2022?

If you have 2020 tickets in your Festival Account, your Gift Credit will automatically be added to your Festival Account. To view your Festival Account you can sign up or log in https://volt.hu/en/account.

How can I add my ticket(s) to my Festival Account?

If you used the same e-mail to set up your Festival Account and purchase your 2022 ticket through our webshop, your ticket will automatically be displayed and you will be able to select and link them to your account.

Similarly to the Balance on your Festival Account, you can use your Gift Credit to buy tickets or services to Sziget Festival 2022, Balaton Sound 2022 or Telekom VOLT Festival 2022, but only through the official webshops of the festivals.

Can I use my Gift Credit for food and drinks at the festivals?

Yes, you can pre-topup a desired amount of credit to your Festival Account, and use it to top up your wristband for purchasing food and drinks at Balaton Sound Festival 2022, Sziget Festival 2021 & 2022 or Telekom VOLT Festival 2022.

Will my Gift Credit ever expire?

It will! You can only use your Gift Credit before the end of Telekom VOLT Festival 2022.
